The existing site was roughly ten years old and showing its age — both aesthetically and functionally. The editorial team had limited ability to feature content the way they wanted, and the overall experience felt dated. With a large, diverse audience spanning radio listeners, blog followers, social media fans, and donors, the site needed to serve many entry points without losing what made it feel like home.
Our Approach: We identified five core user journeys — donors, casual readers, Sirius XM listeners, social media followers, and long-time blog subscribers — and designed entry points for each. The challenge was modernizing a site with 25 years of archived content without making loyal visitors feel lost. At the same time, we built in the flexibility the team needed to spotlight content, support organizational goals, and grow their newsletter subscriber base.

The redesigned site is sleek, intuitive, and fast — both for the editorial team updating it and for readers navigating it. Content is easy to discover, newsletter sign-ups are more prominent, and the design strikes a balance that feels authentic to Busted Halo's voice: grounded in faith, but never stuffy.
Next projects.
